About us
True strength lies in vulnerability.
Connect'd Men is a space where men can slow down, open up, and reconnect, with themselves and with each other.
Our philosophy
Why we exist
At Connect'd Men, we believe true strength lies in vulnerability. Our mission is to create a safe environment where men can explore their emotions freely, without judgment, and build deeper, more meaningful connections.
Every gathering is built on the principles of S.O.A.R.
Slow down
Start each gathering by grounding yourself in the present, letting go of the rush and stress of daily life.
Open up / Observe
Notice what you’re feeling and learn to name it. Then share it. There’s no need for masks here.
Accept
Allow emotions to flow without trying to fix or change them. Simply accept the moment.
Reconnect
By embracing your emotions, you reconnect with your true self. Only then can you truly connect with others.
The brotherhood
Who we are
Our members come from all walks of life, united by the desire to grow emotionally and connect authentically. Whether you're here to explore your feelings, make new friends, or work through life's challenges, Connect'd Men offers a space to practise emotional fitness. We're a brotherhood built on telling the truth, mutual respect, and the belief that real connection begins when we're brave enough to show our whole selves.
At Connect'd Men, we don't just talk about being better men. We practise it, together.
“Real connection starts when we’re real. You don’t have to have it figured out. You just have to be present.”
Mission
To build a supportive community where men connect authentically, grow together, and embrace true strength through openness, vulnerability, and shared experience.
Vision
To redefine masculinity through connection, empathy, and collective growth, inspiring a movement where men embrace their true selves and build deeper, more meaningful relationships with each other and their communities.
What we stand for
Our values
Authenticity
True connection begins with being real. Our gatherings are spaces where men are encouraged to share openly, without fear of judgment, so each man can be seen and heard for who he truly is.
Empathy
We lead with empathy, recognizing that every man’s journey is his own. Through listening and understanding, we create a supportive space where men can explore their emotions and experiences freely.
Vulnerability as strength
We see strength as the courage to be vulnerable. Sharing our struggles, insecurities, and experiences helps us grow, and gives the men around us permission to do the same.
Community and connection
We believe in the power of community to foster healing and resilience. Our gatherings give men a sense of belonging, where they can build lasting connections and support one another.
Growth and healing
We’re committed to growing, on our own and together. We encourage men to face their past, accept their present, and move toward a future with greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing.
Integrity and respect
We uphold a culture of respect, so every member feels valued and safe. Integrity guides what we do, building trust within our community and honouring each man’s journey.
Our founder
Why Mike Cameron started Connect'd Men
When Mike’s girlfriend was killed by her ex-boyfriend, he learned first-hand what disconnection costs: for men who are hurting, and for everyone around them.
Rather than spend his life fighting a system that couldn’t give him what he needed, he chose to build what might have made a difference: a place where men slow down, open up and reconnect. That became Connect'd Men, and he still leads it today.
He tells the story in his TEDx talk, Redefining Badass: why the way men think of strong is wrong.

“I read your story and thought, ‘Wow, there’s a real authentic guy.’”
“My view on what is a man has evolved over time. I am a big believer in unity rather than uniformity. I think that guys have a lot in common in guyness, but that there is no one way to be a man and that we shouldn’t try to force every man into a certain role. Each of us is different, but with lots of overlap.”
Ready when you are.
Gatherings meet in person in Langley, BC, Red Deer, AB and Williams Lake, BC, and online for men anywhere. They're free, and you don't have to talk until you're ready.
